Bethanie Hannagan

With years of experience and a Master of Counselling Social Work, Bethanie brings a warm, relational, and evidence-based approach to her work with individuals, couples, and families.

Bethanie specialises in treating trauma, personality disorders, relationship distress, anxiety, mood disorders, and emotional dysregulation. She is trained in a range of therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method (Level 1 and 2).

Bethanie is passionate about working with people who may have felt misunderstood or stigmatised in other settings. She supports clients across the lifespan, with a particular focus on neurodivergence, attachment wounds, identity exploration, and complex relational challenges. Her therapeutic style is both nurturing and empowering—anchored in curiosity, compassion, and the belief that people heal in connection.

At Althea Collective, Bethanie and her team are dedicated to helping people build emotional resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful, connected lives.

Charlie Wesley

Charlie Wesley is Althea Collective’s resident support cat and unofficial expert in comfort. With a gentle purr and an uncanny ability to sense when someone needs a little extra love, Charlie brings warmth, calm, and a touch of playful curiosity to the therapy space. Whether he’s curled up nearby or quietly observing from his favourite perch, Charlie offers quiet companionship and a soothing presence that helps both clients and team members feel safe and seen. He reminds us daily that healing often begins with connection—even the furry kind.
